Quite a few bloggers followed my invitation and made their very own King Cake for the feast of the Three Kings.

Australia

Galette des Rois from Cakelaw of Laws of the Kitchen Originally, Cakelaw planed to make the yeasted American version of the King Cake, as featured at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. However, her heart was stolen by the elegant French galette des rois.

Austria

Cake of Kings aus dem Brotbackautomaten from Nicole of Kitchen Stories 2009 didn't start so good for the dog of Nicole. But I'm sure her delicious English King Cake brought some delicious moments.

Königskuchen from Hedonistin of Low Budget Cooking Hedonistin didn't baked a bean into her cake, because the cat is the king anyway.

Swiss Kings Cake from Astrid of Paulchen's FoddBlog In Astrid's family there is no King Cake tradition, so she leaned towards the Swiss King Cake version.

Germany

Rosinen-Schnecken aus Quark-Oel-Teig from Barbara of Barbaras Spielwiese Not cake but beer is tradition in "Oberfranken". Barbara has a sweet tooth, so she made her very own King Cake Snails.

Früchtekuchen alla Nysa from nysa of Café da Nysa Nysa has bad King Cake memories. Nevertheless she baked her own King Cake version.

Galette des rois from Chaosqueen of Chaosqueen's Kitchen Even it's no holiday in Northern Germany Chaosqueen baked a Galette des rois after a recipe of Nigella Lawson.

Schweizer Dreikönigskuchen from Petra aka Cascabel of Chili und Ciabatta The "star singers" left the sign above the main door of Petra's house. And she spoiled her family with a Swiss Kings Cake.

Galette des Rois mit Schokoladenfüllung from Sus of CorumBlog Sus made a Galette des rois with chocolate filling. The recipe was only in French, babelfish delivered a funny German translation.

Brioche from Nathalie of Cucina Casalinga Natahlie made a royal brioche, she recently discovered on a Italian blog.

Roscón de Reyes relleno from Noema of Intercultura y Cocina Noema decided to bake a roscon with a special filling, she used to eat in Santander.

Spices Bread from Retno Prihadana of Kedai Hamburg Retno had no family tradition to celebrate on the feast of Three Kings, but from now on she has one.

Il panettone from peppinella of peppinella kocht dir was Peppinella decided to bake a Panettone for Befana. Why not?

Süsser Hefeteig mit Mohnfüllung from Nicole of Zeitvertreib For the first time in her life Nicole baked a King Cake, very successfully as we can see.

Italy

La corona dei Re Magi from Cindystar of Cindystar Cindystar prepared a savory King Cake for her dearest friends, like the Romans did during Saturnalia.

Portugal

Bolo Rei e Bolo Rainha from Alegna of La Casita Verde Alenga made 2 cakes a Queen and King Cake. The queen cake contains only dried fruits, the king cake on the other hand contains candied fruits.

Bolo Rainha (Queen Cake) from Moira of Tertúlia de Sabores Moria had some problems with the dough but she ended up with a delicious Queen Cake.

Spain

Crossover King Cake from zorra of 1x umrühren bitte aka kochtopf As a Swiss Expat in Spain I made a crossover King Cake. The tradition of France, Spain and Switzerland united in one cake.

Roscón de Reyes from Akane of Albahaca y Canela Since years Akane bakes her own Roscon. She recommend to do so too. It tastes much better, you know what ingredients are used and it's fun.

El Roscón... from IDania of El aroma de IDania Better late than never. Idana made a Roscon for Three Kings day after a recipe she learned on a Thermomix class.

Roscón de Reyes (con masa de arranque) from Ajonjoli of La flor del calabacin Ajonjoli made two huge roscones after a recipe she uses since years. But thiis year she reduced the yeast and made the dough with biga.

Roscón de Reyes from Ana of Las Recetas de mama Ana spoiled her family with a traditional roscon, homemade of course.

Switzerland

Dreikönigskuchen from Chriesi of Almond Corner Chriesi didn't know about the Epiphanies Cake until she moved to Switzerland. Her first King Cake is a variation of the Swiss King Cake.

3-Königs-Cuchaule from Coriander of Kräutersturm im Hexentopf Coriander transformed a typical Cuchaule into an outstanding King Cake.

Pinza della Befana from Robert of lamiacucina Robert tells us more about the Italian Befana and baked a delicious Pinza della Befana.

UK

King Cake from Mel of hecticium Mel's Galette des rois was demolished by her co-workers. Do I have to say more? ;-)

USA

Rosca de Reyes from Elra of Elra's Baking Last year Elra made a Pithiviers, this year she decided to make a Mexican Rosca de Reyes.

Not-So-Typical King Cake from Chris of Mele Cotte For Chris it was time to go into the notebook of random recipes and out with a great recipe.

Roasted Apple Strudel from Chelly Vitry of Rolling in Dough A money cake is tradition in Chelly's family. This year she made an Apfel Strudel and baked an Euro in it, rather than just a penny, because she would like to travel to Austria or Germany this year. Fingers crossed!

Grandma Clark's Soda Bread from Mary Kate of Sunset Zaguan In Mary Kate's family all members are winner. Look at her very own King Cake.

Brioche Des Rois from Helen of Tartelette Helen has grown up with Galette des rois and Couronne des rois. This year she made a wonderful Couronne de rois, the brioche type cake adorned with candied fruits and pearl sugar to mimic jewelry on a king's crown.

Rosca de reyes from Ben of What's cooking? Last year Ben bought a rosca at his local Mexican market, but this year he decided to make it himself. Good idea! ;-)

Rosca de Reyes from Susan of Wild Yeast Also Susan went for the sweet Mexican Rosca de Reyes. Instead of the porcelain baby Jesus she tucked in a dried bean, and I still would like to know who discovered it. ;-)
