cookids, the photographer and a strawberry punch
Für deutsche Version bitte hier klicken!
Before we left for our summer vacations we were photographed by a professional photographer! Mama knows the photographer Jean-Claude Tabernier. He has already published several books. The one about chocolate we love most. For cheese lovers, we recommend to visit the website of Fromagerie Boujon. The photos of cheese taken by Jean-Claude make you drooling. More information about Jean-Claude's work can be found on his website. Currently he is working on a very interesting project that might interest some of you. But this is still top secret! Stay tuned, soon we will reveal the secret.
So Mama invited him to make pictures of us and our cooking. A whole afternoon we spent together. Jean-Claude has made over 400 photos! To warm up, he took pictures of us in the grass and in front of our cottage. By the way, Papa built the cottage for us. With Mama's help, we have painted and decorated it. Awesome, isn't it?
Then, finally, we started with cooking and the preparations. Three things we have prepared this afternoon. It was such a hot day, so we began with the preparations for a punch, means wash and cut strawberries, limes and mint. Of course we used for the knives of our Kinderkitchen-Set. Choco nibbled from time to time, pssst! Finally everything was prepared and we could finish the punch. Of course we had to try the punch immediately. Cheers!
Here is the recipe:
Strawberry punch
300 g strawberries
1 lime
1 bunch of mint (about 6 stems)
1 l clear apple juice
1 1/2 liters lemonade
Wash strawberries, clean and cut into small pieces.
Cut lime in half and into thin slices.
Finely chop the mint leaves.
Mix strawberries, lime, mint and apple juice, and put for about 2 hours in the fridge..
Just before serving, add ice-cold lemonade.
For alcoholic version substitute lemonade with 1 bottle of Prosecco. For adults only! The strawberry punch was a big success. We will let you know soon what more we prepared on this afternoon with Jean-Claude.
Yours,
