Zorra, you did such a great job on this round-up. It was a great idea to begin with (Happy Switzerland Day!) - and the execution of the roundup is gorgous. I didn't realize how tasty red and white food really is!

Blog events are great, I enjoy the challenge of finding and deciding on a recipe within a theme frame.

Astrid (anonymous) - 3. Aug, 00:03

Thank you Zorra for a fabulous roundup! I look forward to reading it in depth. Sadly I was not in Switzerland on August 1st (and never have been, as we're always with my inlaws in France at that time of year) so I can't even say I enjoyed the barbecues or the fireworks for you. But before leaving I did notice in Migros some ueber-cute mini-mozzarellas in the shape of white crosses, and didn't quite get it till I saw them pictured on top of a tomato slice. Marketers can get very creative with the Swiss flag!

gilli (anonymous) - 5. Aug, 00:45

Excellent event

Hey Zorra
How creative are your entrants? Love the number of white crosses.
Going to take a while to peruse these blogs.
Keep me busy while the baby grandaughter is sleeping.
Cheers

jasmine (anonymous) - 5. Aug, 05:40

Nils (anonymous) - 5. Aug, 11:52

Wow

Welch ein Fest. Danke für das Thema. Das Thema "Schweizer Brot" ist für mich noch nicht passé, Auswahl gibt es ja genug. Das Walliser Roggenbrot z.B. muss noch unbedingt gebacken werden.
