Weggli

My "popos" do not work whether I do the slot before they rise or just before baking them. The division seems to disappear and rise with the rest of the weggli while in the oven. What is the secret to having the semi slpit in the rolls?

Ernst,

you need to do the division quite deep, nearly cut through. If it still doesn't work, oil the incision. Let me know if it's work.

I do not bake every day so with a batch of Weggli on hand I will wait to try your suggestions for getting the split correct. Thank you for the good advice and prompt reply. I will advise you of the results the next baking time.
