SHF # 35: Grilled Figs drizzled with Honey and Greek Yoghurt
There's nothing better than fresh figs directly from the tree. You can't compare them with bought ones.
This year we have quite a loss of figs to the bugs. So we enjoy each individual fig. ;-)
For Sugar High Friday #35, hosted by lovely Ivonne from Cream Puffs in Venice, I would like to present my favorite fig dessert. An extreme simple but very tasty recipe.
Grilled Figs drizzled with Honey and Greek Yoghurt ripe figs, stems removed
Greek yoghurt
pistachio, chopped
Honey, the best you can get
4 lemon wedges
Half figs lengthwise (through the stem end).
Grill over direct heat until soft and warm, 3 to 5 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time.
Garnish each plate with a fig leaf.
Stir yoghurt drizzle with pistachio.
Arrange yoghurt beside the figs. Drizzle the honey over figs. Serve while the figs are warm.
