WHB #98: Guacamole
| The following is my Weekend Herb Blogging entry, this week hosted by the creator of the event - Kalyn from Kalyn's Kitchen. |
I have grown an avocado tree from seed removed from a ripe fruit. That was about 5 years ago. Until today the tree produces no avocados. I think it will last another 5 years until I can harvest some avocados.

Actually I don't like the leaves just the seeds. But for the Guacamole I used the leaves, just a little bit, it was not as bad as I thought. ;-)

| Did you heard about the trick to add the seed of the avocado on the finished Guacamole so it will not oxidize? Yes, it works! |
Guacamole 1 ripe avocado, seeded and peeled
1 tb lemon juice
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 tb finely chopped onion
1 chili, seeded, minced
1/2 tb chopped cilantro leaves (or more)
1/4 ts ground cumin
salt, pepper
Cut avocado in large chunks and mash coarsely with a fork. Add remaining ingredients and blend gently - leaving some small chunks is fine. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if desired.
