WHB #96: Roundup

I had the honor to be the hostess of last week's Weekend Herb Blogging, a weekly event founded by Kalyn from Kalyn's Kitchen.

To write a roundup is always a very time-consuming task for me, in English even more. But it's a duty I love to do, especially when I can list such great entries. Thanks to all participants.
Some blogger think I'm a clairvoyant. They did not send me an email with a link to their entry (or I did not receive it). I found them anyway, perhaps not all. If your entry is missing on the roundup - my clairvoyant skills are not yet fully developed ;-) - please send me an email (kochtopf(at)gmail(dot)com) with the link to your entry. I will add your entry immediately.

Blackcurrant Fool
from Scott, realepicurean

Raw blackcurrants? No problem, here is the solution. Yum!

zucchini cake with chocolate & pistacios
from Myriam, Once upon a tart

No space in the fridge for the little zucchini monsters? Bake this special cake.

Garbanzo (Chickpea) Salad with Olives and Herbs
from Kalyn, Kalyn's Kitchen

Hot temperature not only in Utah. A perfect summer salad, when it's too hot to cook.

Mirabelle plums
from Helene, Neues aus der Küche - News from the kitchen

I love mirabelle plums. You too? Not only for chilly winter days.

Calypso Rice

Green Beans & Cabbage "Scandia"
from Ferdzy, Seasonal Ontario Food

Grandmother's recipes are the best, if you use fresh beans even more.

Rosemary-artichoke hummus
from Genie, The Inadvertent Gardener

A new creation is born. Sometimes it's really good you don't have all the ingredients on stock.

Braised Lima Beans with Tomato and Parsley
from Sue aka coffeepot, Coffee & Cornbread

Long fingernails? So it's easy to shell the lima bean. If not use a knife.

Tropical Fruit Compote with Stevia
from Sarah, What Smells So Good?

Life without sugar don't must be sour. Stevia is 300 times sweeter than sugar. Cool, eh?

Quick tossed Pasta
from Rinku, Cooking in Westchester

Scrounge through the fridge and put together a delicious pasta. And don't drink to much wine!

Turnips
from Chris, from Mele cotte

Want to lose weight? Turnips is the right root for you, healthy and yummie!

A walk through the woods, like Little Red Riding Hood, pick lingonberries and make a great jam. Beware the big bad wolf, he could love the jam too!

Tomatillos, never seen before? Now, I know how do they look like.

Cold Wheat Berry Soup (Soguk Bugday Çorbasi)
from Burcu, Almost Turkish Recipes

Too hot to lift a finger? You can sit in front of an air conditioner and slurp this refreshing soup.

Stuffed Tomatoes and Toads

Katie's new friend Boris would magically transforms into a handsome prince if he could taste her stuffed tomatoes. I'm sure!

Too many zucchini and tomatoes sitting on your kitchen counter? You don't need to wait longer for inspiration to strike.

Desperately waiting for rain in Carolina. In the meantime let's eat oven fried okra.
